Getting Started
Download the Kapizox App

Kapizox is a mobile-first platform available on both iOS and Android. Download it from your device's app store before you begin. The app is free to install.

iOS: Open the App Store, search for "Kapizox", and tap Get to install.
Android: Open Google Play Store, search for "Kapizox", and tap Install.
Requirements: iOS 15+ or Android 10+. A stable internet connection is recommended during onboarding, especially for portfolio uploads.
💡
Tip: Portfolio uploads work best on Wi-Fi. Have your best photos and equipment list ready before you start.

Account Creation
Sign Up & Choose Creator Role

Open the app and tap Create Account. You'll first choose your role — select "I'm a Creator". This is the most important choice: it unlocks your creator dashboard, portfolio, packages, and availability tools. Then fill in your personal details.

Role: Creator
Full Name
Email Address
Phone Number (+91)
WhatsApp Number
Password (8+ chars)
Confirm Password
Terms & Privacy
Role selection first: The role (Client / Creator) is shown at the very top of the sign-up form. Tap the Creator card before filling anything else.
Full Name: Enter your real name or professional studio name. Letters, spaces, and hyphens only. This is displayed on your creator card and profile.
Phone Number: Optional, but recommended. Enter your 10-digit Indian mobile number — the +91 prefix is added automatically.
WhatsApp Number: Optional. If your WhatsApp is the same as your phone number, check "Same as phone number" — it will fill in automatically.
Password: Minimum 8 characters. A strength indicator shows as you type — aim for at least "Good" before proceeding.

Onboarding · Step 1 of 8
Your Profile

The first onboarding screen sets up your public identity — the tagline clients see at a glance, your bio, and the languages you speak. A strong tagline is the single biggest factor in whether a client taps your card.

Profile Photo
Profile Tagline
Bio
Languages Spoken
Profile Photo: Tap the camera circle at the top to upload a profile photo. Use a clear, professional headshot — creators with a photo receive significantly more enquiries.
Profile Tagline (required, max 4 words): This is the bold text shown under your name on your creator card. Use the pipe character | to separate descriptors — e.g. Wedding | Portrait | Candid. Keep each word punchy and searchable. Maximum 4 words total.
Bio (optional, 150 chars · 2 lines max): A short note about your style, passion, or approach. Think of it as your pitch to a client who's already interested — keep it warm and personal. Two lines maximum.
Languages Spoken (up to 4): Select the languages you can work in. Choose from: Hindi, English, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, Punjabi, Urdu, Odia, and more. You can also tap + Custom to add any language not in the list. Select up to 4.
💡
Tagline tip: "Wedding | Portrait | Candid" works far better than "Professional Photographer". Use your actual service types — clients search by these words.

Onboarding · Step 2 of 8
Your Expertise

Tell clients what kind of creator you are. Select all categories that describe your work, pick specialty tags that help clients find you, and fill in your professional stats. All of this appears on your profile and affects how you rank in search.

Creator Categories (select all that apply — required: at least one)

📸 Photographer
🎥 Videographer
🎬 Cinematographer
🚁 Drone Pilot
📱 Reel Creator
▶️ YT Shorts
📡 Live Streamer
✂️ Editor
🧍 Model
💄 Makeup Artist
📅 Event Planner
🎀 Event Decorator
Specialty Tags (up to 10): After selecting categories, pick tags that describe your niche — e.g. "Outdoor Shoots", "Low-light Expert", "Same-day Reels", "Aerial Shots". You can also type a custom tag. These help clients filter for exactly what they need.
Years of Experience: How many years you've worked professionally. Shown on your profile — clients factor this into their decision.
Clients Handled / No. of Events: The total number of clients or events you've worked on. This stat builds credibility — be honest, even if the number is modest.
Team Size: Enter 1 if you work solo, or the number of people in your team. Clients planning large events often need to know if you bring a team.
Camera & Equipment: List your main gear, comma-separated — e.g. Sony A7 IV, Canon R5, DJI Mini 3. Up to 4 items. Clients with specific equipment needs search by this field.
Studio Code (optional): If you operate under a registered studio, enter your studio's code here. Up to 15 characters. Leave blank if you work independently.

Location & Availability

Set where you're based and which days you're generally available for bookings. Your city determines which client searches you appear in — this is one of the most important fields on your profile.

Your City (required): Select your primary operating city from the list. Use the search box to find your city if it's not in the "Top Cities" section. You can only pick one primary city — this is where you're based.
Service Areas (optional, up to 7): List other cities you're willing to travel to for shoots. Use the second search box to find and add cities. Clients from those cities will see you in their local search results too.
Available Days (required, at least one): Select the days of the week you're generally open for bookings — Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun. You can select all seven if you're available every day. This is a general indicator, not a live calendar — manage specific dates from your profile settings later.
💡
Service Areas tip: Add nearby districts and towns too — not just major cities. Many clients from smaller cities look for photographers willing to travel.

Onboarding · Step 4 of 8
Your Packages

Packages are how clients book you. Each package defines a service offering with a name, price, duration, and what's included. You must add at least one package to proceed — this is required for clients to send booking requests.

Package Name
Price (₹)
Duration
What's Included
Public / Private
Package Name (required): Be descriptive — e.g. Essential, Premium, Full Day Coverage. Clients browse packages before deciding to book, so the name should immediately communicate the offering.
Price in ₹ (required): Your actual price in Indian Rupees. Enter numbers only — e.g. 15000 for ₹15,000. This is shown to clients on your profile and booking screen.
Duration (required): How long the shoot or service takes — e.g. 4 hrs, 8 hrs, 1 day, 2 days, 3 days, Full Day. Be specific so clients can plan their event schedule.
What's Included (optional): Describe deliverables — e.g. 200 edited photos, online gallery, basic retouching, 1 highlight reel. The more detail here, the fewer "what do I get?" questions you'll receive from clients.
Public / Private toggle: Each package starts as Public (visible to clients). You can mark a package Private to hide it temporarily — useful during busy seasons or when testing pricing. Hidden packages do not appear to clients but are saved for reactivation.
Multiple packages (up to 4): Tap + Add Another Package to create more. Offering 2–3 options at different price points — starter, standard, premium — gives clients choice and increases your booking rate.
💡
Example structure: Starter — ₹8,000 (2 hrs, 50 edited photos) · Standard — ₹15,000 (4 hrs, 150 photos + 1 reel) · Premium — ₹28,000 (Full day, 300 photos + drone + 3 reels)

Awards & Achievements

This step is completely optional — if you don't have any awards yet, simply tap Continue. If you do, this is your chance to showcase recognition that builds trust with clients before they've even seen your work.

Award Name
Given By
Year
Award Name: The title of the award or recognition — e.g. Best Wedding Photographer 2024, Top Creator of the Year.
Given By: The organisation or platform that gave the award — e.g. WedMeGood, Fearless Photographers, India Photo Awards.
Year: The 4-digit year the award was received — e.g. 2024. Helps clients see how recent your recognition is.
Multiple awards (up to 6): Tap + Add Another Award to add more. You can remove any award by tapping the X next to it.
💡
No awards yet? No problem — skip this step for now. You can come back and add awards anytime from your profile settings once you start accumulating recognition.

Links & Payment

Add your social media links so clients can browse your work before booking, and provide your WhatsApp and UPI details for communication and future payouts.

Instagram Handle
YouTube Channel
Website URL
WhatsApp Number
UPI ID
Instagram (required): Enter your Instagram handle — e.g. @yourhandle. This is the primary way clients preview your work before booking. You cannot proceed without it.
YouTube (optional): If you have a YouTube channel with highlight reels or showcase videos, add the link — e.g. youtube.com/c/yourchannel.
Website (optional): Your personal portfolio website or studio website URL — e.g. yourwebsite.com.
WhatsApp Number (optional): If you didn't add a WhatsApp number during sign-up, you can add or update it here. Clients contact you via WhatsApp after a booking is placed.
UPI ID (optional): Your UPI payment address — e.g. yourname@upi. Used for future integrated payouts when Kapizox's payment system goes live. Safe to add now.
💡
Instagram matters most: Clients click through to your Instagram before deciding to book. Make sure your profile is public and your recent posts reflect your best work.

Onboarding · Step 7 of 8
Portfolio Photos

Upload up to 3 of your best photos during onboarding. These photos appear in the portfolio section of your creator profile. You can upload the rest of your portfolio — and videos — directly from your profile after setup is complete.

Onboarding limit: 3 photos. Tap "Tap to add photo" to pick from your camera roll. Each tap opens your photo library — select one photo at a time. Repeat up to 3 times.
Remove and replace: After uploading, each thumbnail shows an × button in the corner. Tap it to remove that photo and add a different one before you submit.
Can I skip this? Yes — tap Continue without uploading any photos. You can add your full portfolio from your profile page after your account is approved.
After onboarding: Go to your profile → Portfolio section to upload additional photos and video reels. There is no hard cap on how many you can add from the profile editor.
💡
Best practice: Upload your 3 most impressive shots — variety wins. Show different lighting, settings, and subjects. Your first uploaded photo becomes the preview thumbnail on your card in the home feed.
⚠️
Do not upload watermarked images or photos that belong to another creator. Profiles using someone else's work are permanently removed.

Onboarding · Step 8 of 8
Referral Code & Submit

The final step. Enter a referral code if a friend or fellow creator shared one with you — this step is completely optional. Then tap Finish & Go to App → to submit your profile for review.

Referral Code (optional): If someone shared their Kapizox referral code with you, enter it here. Codes look like KAPD4E3A1B2. The app validates the code in real-time and shows the referrer's name when it's valid. Skip this field if you don't have a code.
Submit: Tap Finish & Go to App →. Your profile is sent to the Kapizox review team. A "Profile Submitted!" confirmation screen appears immediately.
What happens next: Your profile is hidden from the client feed until manually approved by the team. Review typically takes 24–48 hours. You'll receive a push notification and email when you're live.
While you wait: You can still use the app — browse the feed, explore settings, and upload more portfolio photos from your profile page. Your profile just won't be visible to clients yet.
💡
Speed up approval: Profiles with a complete bio, a strong tagline, at least 1 package, Instagram linked, and at least 1 portfolio photo are approved fastest. Incomplete profiles get flagged for review feedback first.
✓ Setup Complete — Your profile is under review!

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it free to create a creator account?
Yes, completely free. There are no sign-up fees, no monthly subscriptions, and no commission taken from your earnings. Kapizox earns through premium creator features that will be introduced later.
How long does the profile review take?
Typically 24–48 hours on business days (Monday to Saturday). You'll receive a push notification and an email at your registered address once approved. If your profile needs changes, we'll tell you exactly what to fix and re-review within a few hours of resubmission.
Can I work in multiple cities?
Yes. Set your primary city as your main base, then add up to 7 additional cities under Service Areas during onboarding (Step 3). You'll appear in search results for all listed cities. You can update your service areas anytime from your profile settings.
What if I don't have an Instagram account?
Instagram is required to complete onboarding (Step 6). It's how clients preview your work before booking. If you don't have one yet, we recommend creating a basic Instagram profile and posting 9–12 of your best photos before signing up on Kapizox. A strong Instagram significantly increases your booking rate.
Can I change my categories and packages after submitting?
Yes — everything on your profile is editable after onboarding. Go to your profile page and tap the settings (gear) icon to edit your categories, specialty tags, packages, service areas, languages, awards, social links, and more. Changes to packages that already have bookings are restricted to protect confirmed clients.
How do clients pay me?
Currently, payments are arranged directly between you and the client — via UPI, bank transfer, or cash — after confirming booking details over WhatsApp. Kapizox does not currently handle payment processing. An integrated payment gateway (Razorpay) is coming soon. Adding your UPI ID during onboarding prepares your account for when that launches.
How do I manage my availability calendar?
After onboarding, go to your profile → tap the ⚙️ settings icon → select "Manage Availability". You'll see a monthly calendar where you can block specific dates with different time ranges: Morning (9 AM–1 PM), Afternoon (1 PM–5 PM), Work Hours (9 AM–5 PM), Extended Hours (9 AM–9 PM), or Full Day Off. Clients can see your 30-day availability directly from your card in the home feed before they visit your profile.
